Hi, I’m Max Bonnefin, a Senior Software Engineer based in Chesterfield, England.

I work mostly in backend systems. Outside of work I build things for fun: a Game Boy emulator in Go, hardware mods, music. My technical interests lean towards systems programming, hardware emulation and cyber security.

I read a lot of philosophy, politics, mythology and history. I go to a lot of concerts, mostly rock, punk and metal.

The site is built with Hugo, a fast and flexible static site generator written in Go. It uses the Coder theme with minimal customisation.

Content is version controlled and deployed automatically via GitLab CI Pipelines, with static assets hosted on AWS S3.

The headshot on the homepage was captured using a Game Boy Camera and transferred from the cartridge using a GBxCart RW and FlashGBX.
